The Gastein Valley is home to four great ski areas. Which one you choose to leave your tracks in should depend on your skiing ability and the weather.

The largest interconnected area, Schlossalm – Angertal – Stubnerkogel, is ideal for a family ski holiday. It offers slopes of every level, practice areas for beginners and plenty of mountain huts to stop at along the way.

Sportgastein is the highest ski area in the valley and a favourite with freeriders and off-piste skiers.

If you love steep runs, better known as black slopes, the Graukogel is the place for you. Good technique and a solid level of fitness are essential for these challenging runs.
